Neeraj Chopra is an Indian track and field athlete who participates in javelin throw events. He is only Indian track and field athlete who had won a gold medal for India at the Olympic. A native of Khandra village in Panipat Haryana. Neeraj has also won gold medal in Asian games 2018 and Commonwealth game 2018. He is an alumnus of DAV College Chandigarh and is currently serving the Indian Army as Junior commissioned Officer (JCO). He is the recipient of Vishisht Seva medal ( VSM) a distinguished decoration of the Indian armed force. After winning gold medal in Tokyo Olympic 2020, Neeraj Chopra has achieved the Pedestal of one of the greatest sporting personality of the nation. Neeraj dedicated his Olympic medal to great Indian athlete Milkha Singh. Within the short span of his sporting career, he has earned respect for his on-and-off field behavior. He has emerged as a role model for budding athletes.
